A New Star Trek About A Familiar Face. Picard – First Teaser

Star Trek: Picard, what does a former Starfleet Captain do during his retirement?

For those of us who were born too late to experience Star Trek with Captain Kirk, our first experience was with the Next Generation crew lead by Captain Picard (Patrick Stewart). The show was first aired in 1987 and ran for seven seasons.

After Star Trek: The Next Generation had finished, the crew of the USS Enterprise carried on with a series of films, ST: Generations, ST: Insurrection, ST: First Contact and finally ending with ST: Nemesis.

Apart from the first episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, this was every appearance of Captain Jean Luc Picard.

Star Trek: Picard from CBS All Access is slated to air later this year and we will finally discover what the former Star Fleet Admiral has been up to in his retirement years.

Set eighteen years after the events of Star Trek: Nemesis, we will find the former captain deeply affected by the destruction of Romulus, as depicted in the Star Trek reboot of 2009.

Star Trek: Picard will air later in the year on CBS All Access in the US, the rest of the world will be able to view via Amazon Prime.
