It looks like Mile Morales has switched sneaker brands for the forthcoming ‘Spider-Man: Miles Morales’ game coming to PS5. Now he’s rocking Adidas Superstars.
When Mile Morales swung onto our screens a couple of years ago in ‘Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse’, we witnessed the gutsy teen sporting a pair of Nike Air Jordan 1’s. Naturally Nike produced a limited edition tie-in release called the ‘Air Jordan 1: Origin Story‘.
Morales will now take the lead in PlayStation’s newest Spider-Man game, and it seems like brand loyalty isn’t something the web-slinger prescribes to when it comes to sneakers. Gone are the Air Jordans. Mile Morales is now rocking both Hi and Low versions of Adidas’ iconic Superstar silhouette in the game.
Are Adidas making these shoes for real? Of course they are. With the same red and black colourways as Mile wears in-game, these limited edition versions of the Superstar come with a web design and spider logo on the heal and PS5 lace jewellery. Marvel, Insomniac Games and the PlayStation logo can also be found on the insole.
Officially titled ‘Spider-Man: Miles Morales x adidas Originals Superstars’, both lo and hi versions of the shoes will be available in-game from November 9th and to buy IRL in North America and Asia-Pacific regions from November 19th. A European release is scheduled for December 4th. If that includes the UK is anyone’s guess now that we’ve left the EU.
