Adidas X Dragon Ball Z Range Now Expected In September

Adidas release a poster for their highly anticipated Dragon Ball Z collaboration which is finally expected this month.

When we first reported on Adidas’ collaboration with Dragon Ball Z last month, we were expecting the first two shoes in the range to be available in August. August came and went and our revised expectation is that the shoes will now launch this month instead.

The German sports brand have released an official poster to promote the team-up which certainly seems to suggest an imminent launch, though there’s no holding page on the Adidas website as of yet (that we can find).

Goku and Frieza character-themed shoes are based on Adidas’ ‘ZX500 RM’ and ‘Yung-1’ silhouettes respectively. These are likely candidates to be the first of the range to hit stores if the company goes with a staggered release, as expected.

Reports suggest there will be a further six designs in the pack varying in style from old-school runners to modern classics.

Son Gohan – Deerupt
Cell – Prophere
Vegeta – Oregon Ultra Tech
Majin Buu – Kamanda
Shenlong / Shenron – EQT ADV Mid (Green, Gold and Red colourway)
Super Shenlong / Shenron – EQT ADV Mid (Black and Grey colourway)

Each sneaker in the range is subtly presented with small details and carefully placed embroidery. The colourway being the main indicator as to which character the shoe is paying tribute to.
