Ridley Scott introduces a special short that ties up events in Prometheus and leads into Alien: Covenant.
On the second official Alien Day, and with Ridley Scott’s next instalment of the Alien saga just around the corner, the veteran filmmaker brings a special prologue.
The short film details what happened to Dr. Elizabeth Shaw and the synthetic, David, after the events of the 2012 Alien prequel, ‘Prometheus’.
Scott states that this short, titled ‘The Crossing’ leads up to the start of ‘Covenant’ which takes place ahead of the events of the original 1979 Alien film starring Sigourney Weaver as Ripley.
‘Alien: Covenant’ arrives in cinemas on May 12th in the UK and May 19th in the US.
The film follows “the crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape”.
