Atari are set to open eight gaming themed hotels across the U.S.

Work begins on the first Atari Hotel in Phoenix, Arizona this autumn and marks the first of eight. Seven more to follow across the U.S.

Nostalgia will meet with modernity as guests look forward to a stay in the first ever Atari branded hotel. The project is being led by GSD Group, an innovation and strategy group responsible for the recent Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie franchise. GSD will work in conjunction with True North Studio, a leading Arizona based real estate agency.

Phoenix, AZ will be the location for the first of eight Atari Hotels to be built in the U.S. Construction is scheduled to begin this autumn with the hotel opening it’s doors two years after.

The partnership aims to provide an immersive experience for guests of all ages with state of the art facilities trading off Atari’s retro-cool image. VR and AR (Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality) entertainment as well as more traditional gaming will be built into the fabric of the hotel’s concept. Some locations will also feature gaming studios and be capable of hosting e-sports events.
