Champion X Pac-Man – Retro gaming meets sportswear

Sports brand Champion launch a collaboration range based on the most retro of games, Pac-Man.

Barely a week passes without a major sports brand releasing a pop-culture crossover these days. This time around it’s Champion. The company that made NBA jerseys in the nineties.

Champion have teamed up with everyone’s favourite yellow dot, Pac-Man for a range of apparel. The offering is  unisex but fairly limited, at least here in the U.K.

A hoody comes in three colours, there are a couple of sweatshirt designs, a Pac-able (nice pun) jacket, a cap and three t-shirts. Cleverly the company has incorporated Pac-Man into their logo by replacing the C in Champion with the iconic character.

This Champion x Pac-Man sweater is subtle, but costs £57.56

My personal favourite piece is a black crew neck sweater (pictured) with small representations of Pac-Man, Blinky the ghost, a dot and an 8-Bit rendering of the Champion logo. It’s subtle.

None of the range is easy on the wallet though. The cap is the smallest and cheapest item costing, a not insignificant, £20.56. T-Shirts will set you back £32.89 with the Pac-able jacket taking £69.90 off you.
