Check The New Trailer For Netflix Original, Voltron: Legendary Defender

Strangely familiar, but with modern tweaks. Dreamworks’ Netflix exclusive series Voltron: Legendary Defender has a trailer for you to reminisce over.

Back in April we reported that Voltron was set to make a return to television screens this year along with a short teaser for the animated series. Now the Dreamworks Animation project has a full trailer that should get fans reminiscing.

Originally adapted from a Japanese anime, the cartoon series Voltron first found popularity when the show originally aired between 1984 and 85. Episodes would follow the adventures of five young men, who pilot flying mechanical Lions that would combine to form the giant robot ‘Voltron’, and the princess of the planet Arus. Voltron would battle monster villains using its trademark flaming sword.

Taking plenty of inspiration and imagery from the beloved 80s animated show Voltron: Legendary Defender is a reboot that’s sympathetic to the source material but tweaked just enough for the streaming age of television. As with Dreamworks’ How To Train Your Dragon series the new Voltron episodes will debut exclusively on Netflix.
