Coheed and Cambria – Toys [Video]

Dubbed “An Unheavenly Christmas Carol”, Santa is the real hero in this new video from Coheed and Cambria that takes a swing at U.S. President, Donald Trump.

Modern day progressive rockers, Coheed and Cambria, have released a seasonal video for the track ‘Toys’ which is taken from their recent album ‘The Unheavenly Creatures’.

With a hugely catchy guitar riff, ‘Toys’ was already my stand out song from the bands latest long player. I hadn’t imagined it as a song linked to the Christmas holidays but a clever animated video manages to create a unexpected narrative.

The animated visual features a persistent young tyrant with only one desire in life. No distraction can deviate the child’s attention from his singular goal. But with great power comes great responsibility, and that’s where things go wrong from the distinctively orange antagonist. When all looks to be lost Santa’s like, “hold my beer”.

Hear ‘The Unheavenly Creatures’ wherever you get your music.
