Control The Empire With These Official Star Wars Keycaps

Customise your keyboard with official Star Wars Keycaps in Imperial grey, no Rebel colours here!

PC keyboards have come a long way since I started using computers back in the 1990s. I grew up in a time where keyboards were only available in black, white or beige and connected by a round PS/2 connector!

Perhaps I’m showing my age but keyboards are now big business especially for those who like to customise their equipment.

If you are prepared to spend the big bucks you can buy high-quality keyboards with mechanical switches for each key that feels nice to type with and offers a reassuring click. Keyboards also feature full LED lighting in the base that not only illuminates the space between the keys but also the letters themselves.

For the professionals, you can purchase the individual components of a keyboard to put together a set that suits your needs and looks awesome at the same time. The possibilities are almost endless with the combinations available.

For the Star Wars fan, a new keycap set has become available to whet their appetite.

NovelKeys have just put up for pre-order the Official Galactic Empire DSA Keycap Set. There will be two different sets available, full Aurebesh and full Aurebesh with English sub legends.

Aurebesh with English sub legends & full Aurebesh

Whats Aurebesh? This is the name for the most common written language in the Star Wars universe. It originally appeared in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. It was converted into a full translatable alphabet by the Star Wars roleplaying game and has appeared in many forms of Star Wars media ever since.

The keys themselves are PBT Dye-Sublimated Keycaps and made by Signature Plastics. These are a quality product and the letters will not fade or rub off in time due to excessive use.

Pre-orders have already started and will run until January 5th with a keycap set retailing for $250. This is a made to order set, so if you don’t get your order in now, you won’t be able to find these in stores or anywhere online at a later date. Unfortunately, the keycap set will only be available to the US, Canada, Porta Rico and Guam.

You can pre-order the Galactic Empire DSA Keycap Set over at NovelKeys.
