Converse celebrate 80 years of the Batman with limited edition collection

To celebrate the 80th anniversary of Batman, Converse have issued a limited edition collection of classic Chuck Taylor All Stars.

Classic Batman prints on classic Chuck Taylor sneakers. It’s a comic book crossover we can get behind. Converse have released a range of hi-top and low-top Chuck Taylor shoes to celebrate 80 years of DC comics’ iconic detective superhero.

There are infant sizes available (starting from £37), but the wider range is aimed at adults. There are two designs available as Chuck Taylor hi-tops (lead image and below), priced at £60.

Each carries the iconic Batman logo on the tongue and heel. One shows the dynamic duo of Batman and Robin in action whilst the second focuses on the Bat-Signal and replicates a copy of DC’s long-running ‘Detective Comics’.

£5 less in price gets you less sneaker in the form of Chuck Taylor low-tops. As with the hi-tops there are two designs to choose from.

Batman’s nemesis, The Joker, features on the first pair whilst the second is far simpler in design, brandishing variations on the Batman logo.

These classic canvas Converse are available now with a further two Chuck 70 Hi-Top designs to follow.

More flamboyant in style, these pink and neon Chucks will set you back a little more at £80. Personally I’m all about the bold pink Batman logo on the left.
