Contemporary U.S. artist, Daniel Arsham, has collaborated on a Pokémon clothing collection for Uniqlo’s UT range.
Similar to their recent Super Mario Bros. line, clothing retailers Uniqlo have launched a new Pokémon range in collaboration with New York based artist, Daniel Arsham.
The range imagines sculptures of some of your favourite Pokémon discovered a thousand years into the future. Uniqlo explain: “Celebrate the magic of Pokémon” “with Daniel Arsham’s reinterpretation” which “sees Pikachu, Mewtwo and Ash Ketchum transformed into sculptures dated 1000 years in the future.“
MewTwo, Jigglypuff, Pikachu and Ash Ketchum feature alongside a crystal Pokédex and Pokémon logo design. Each looking like something crystallised and ancient that has been recently excavated.
The range is on sale online through the Uniqlo website now. Prices for kids shirts start from £7.90. Adult shirts are £12.90.
Daniel Arsham is a renowned artists whose work transcends art, design and architecture. Arsham recently collaborated with Adidas for a trilogy of short films that showed the artist in the past, present and future wearing Adidas footwear.
