Netflix and Marvel reveal a first look at a Daredevil series that could take a dark tone.
Blinded as a child but gifted with other extraordinary senses, respected lawyer Matt Murdock defends the innocent by day and hunts evil by night. Netflix and Marvel have revealed the first trailer for the forthcoming series that will air exclusively on the streaming service and all signs point in the right direction.
Perhaps matching up against some of their main comic rivals’ television shows, in particular DC’s Constantine and Gotham, Daredevil appears to take a more serious and darker tone. As a fan of the Daredevil comics but as someone who’s not been particularly impressed with Marvel’s televisual output this far, I’m pleased with what I’ve seen in this trailer. How about you?
Meet Matt Murdock. Blinded as a boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, Matt fights injustice by day as a respected lawyer and by night as the masked vigilante known as Daredevil in Hell’s Kitchen, New York. He’ll do anything to make his city a better place, but at what price? All episodes available April 10, only on Netflix.
