Over the following decade, this story continued to drip feed with Keanu Reeves (Ted) and Alex Winter (Bill) stating that work on the script is ongoing and everyone is very happy with it.
Dean Parisot, director of Galaxy Quest and Red 2 amongst others signed on as the director. Then in 2019, it finally happened the Bill & Ted Face the Music went into production.
In this third film, Bill & Ted are now middle-aged men with their own grown up daughters. Apparently, despite the events of Bogus Journey, the two best friends still haven’t written a song that will save the world. A visitor from the future informs them they have just 78 minutes to do so.
Bill & Ted Face the Music is scheduled to open in the US and UK on the 21st August.
