Guess who’s back, back again… PaRappa the Rapper

Pull on your orange beanies because PaRappa’s back as Sony announce 4k remake for the PlayStation classic.

It may seem like an odd choice for a remaster but Sony have decided that 20 years from it’s original release that it’s time for everyone’s favourite rapping dog to come back. Whilst the game itself may be an odd choice to do a remaster of, the video to announce the release is pretty genius.

It’s been done in a documentary style called “Finding PaRappa” which contains interviews with industry types, including grime artist Skeggzy and radio DJ Coco Cole, discussing PaRappa’s influence on the hip hop industry before disappearing off the face of the earth.

Rhythm games may not be top of a game player’s list these days but after 20 years it’s sure to get a few people caught up in the nostalgia as they try and win over the heart of Sunny Funny with their killer rap skills.

Just remember; kick, punch, it’s all in the mind.

PaRappa The Rapper remake is out now on the PlayStation Store.
