The gang return for another adventure in the world of Jumanji, but not is all that it seems!
When I first heard they were making a sequel to the original Jumanji starring Robin Williams and released in 1995, as always, I was concerned.
With Hollywood chucking out what seems like pointless sequels and remakes, I wondered what at all would be different about this new version.
I have to admit that I really enjoyed the new Jumanji, it’s a great action adventure film with a healthy sense of humour thrown in. I wasn’t the only one who enjoyed it as it earned a whopping $960 million at the global box office.
In this new version of Jumanji, the board game has become an old 1980’s style console game that is discovered by four high school children who are ordered to clean out an old storage room at their school as part of a detention punishment.
The four children become sucked into the Jumanji game world whereupon they discover they have become the characters from the video game as played by Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan and Jack Black.
Jumanji: The Next Level looks to set our characters off on another adventure in not just jungles this time but also desserts and snowy landscapes.
The adventure will also mix things up with the addition of actors Danny DeVito and Danny Glover who look to be causing chaos right from the start.
Jumanji: The Next Level will open in the US and UK on the 13th of December. Other territories check IMDb for listings.
