K-Swiss are releasing 35th Anniversary Ghostbusters sneakers

K-Swiss are commemorating the 35th anniversary of Ghostbusters with two special edition shoes based on Stay Puft and Slimer.

What would any landmark celebration of a seminal pop-culture movie be without a shoe collaboration in this day and age?

K-Swiss are on hand (or maybe, foot?) for the 35th anniversary of Ghostbusters’ cinematic release with two new special edition shoes modelled on characters from the film. The shoes are based on K-Swiss’ Si-18 International and Classic 2000 silhouettes with designs that celebrate Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and Slimer respectively.

If you need your shoes unboxing, who you gonna call? Show retailer Footlocker called the legend that is, Dan Aykroyd, which makes perfect sense really. Check out the video below.

Both designs are due to launch at Ghostbusters Fan Fest taking place in California this Saturday, 8th June and then online at footlocker.com from the 13th.

K-Swiss Stay Puft

Si-18 International ‘Stay Puft’ carries a predominantly white leather finish, detailed with colour accents inspired by the sailor outfit worn by the giant Stay Puft Marshmallow Man see at the end of Ghostbusters. The character can be found on the tongue of the shoe which also has ‘GB-84’ embroidered on the outside heel, a Ghostbusters X K-Swiss mash-up logo and themed laces.

K-Swiss Slimer

For the more extroverted Ghostbusters fan the Classic 2000 ‘Slimer’ comes in shiny ectoplasm green with the classic Ghostbuster logo highlighted on the outer-tongue. Slimer can be found on the insole with the inner-tongue of the shoe forming part of the character’s design.

Each pair of K-Swiss x Ghostbusters shoes will come in a box cleverly designed to look like a trap from the film.
