LEGO Reveal Their Largest Ever Set…Its The Millennium Falcon!

LEGO reveal their latest and largest set to date! 7541 bricks will transform into the Millennium Falcon!

LEGO has certainly come a long way since I was a child. In 1999, the company acquired the license to make sets based on the Star Wars saga. It’s certainly been extremely popular and LEGO have extended that license several times and who can blame them.

Their latest set is the biggest in LEGO history weighing in at 7541 pieces. The former number one was the model of the Taj Mahal which contained 5922 pieces.

As the headline revealed, the new set is the Millennium Falcon or LEGO Star Wars 75192 UCS Millennium Falcon for its official name.

This set is an upgrade to a previous Ultimate Collectors Series model of the Millennium Falcon that was released back in October 2007 and contained a mere 5197 pieces.

So what does an extra 2000 odd pieces get you? For a start, Han Solo’s choice of transport is now even more detailed especially in terms of rounded corners. This was something that was lacking on the previous iteration which is now ten years old.

Millennium Falcon

There is also the choice to build the Millennium Falcon from either the original Star Wars trilogy or from its latest incarnation from Star Wars: The Force Awakens / The Last Jedi. This is primarily achieved by changing the radar dish from round to square.

To reflect this choice, the set comes with two sets of mini-figures. The first set is from The Empire Strikes Back and contains Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca and C3-PO.

If you decide to build the new version, you can use Han Solo, Chewbacca, Finn, Rey, BB8 and the new creatures from The Last Jedi, the bird like Porgs.
