Proving that literally anything can be a shoe collaboration these days. LEGO tease their forthcoming team-up with Adidas.
A short teaser video shows a shoe box made entirely from LEGO bricks and a glimpse of an Adidas sneaker within. As part of their A-ZX project, Adidas have teamed up with LEGO to release a brick themed version of their ZX 8000 silhouette. The project runs throughout 2020/21 and will feature twenty six collabs in this time. One for each letter of the alphabet.
Though we only catch the briefest glimpse of the heal of the shoe, we can tell that the colourway is comprised of four primary colours reminiscent of LEGO’s foundation bricks. Red, blue, yellow and green highlights sit atop a primarily off-white base colour.
Blue LEGO studs can be seen on the heal support in one fleeting glimpse with similar detailing in red forming the lace eyelets. A green brick forms a dubrae (lace tag) and the famous red and white LEGO logo is stitched onto the tongue of each shoe.
No release date has been published at the time of writing, but given LEGO’s form with their recent Nintendo Entertainment System set, we’d expect that news and a full reveal to drop imminently.
As always, we’ll bring the details as soon as we have them or keep an eye on adidas.com.
