London Heroes & Villains Fan Fest postponed until 2020

Due to take place on the 25th and 26th May this year, ‘Heroes and Villains Fan Fest London’ has been postponed until February 2020 as the event struggled to attract an adequate line-up.

‘Heroes and Villains Fan Fest London’ will now take place on the 22nd and 23rd of February 2020 and run in conjunction with ‘Walker Stalker Con’ in East London at ExCeL. Originally planned to take place at London Olympia, organisers concluded that they simply couldn’t attract an adequate line-up to go ahead with the event.

In their statement ‘Heroes & Villains’ cite a conflict in scheduling as a key contributing factor. The May dates found the event vying for guests and fans on the same weekend as MCM Comic-Con, London’s largest pop-culture expo.

Fans who have already purchased tickets will surely be disappointed, but event organisers are conscious of their commitment to making it up to them.

‘Heroes & Villains’ will now take part in conjunction with ‘Walker Stalker Con’. The two events will run separately in two sections of the same building, but existing ticket holders will be able to move freely between the two. In essence, anyone that bought a ticket in advance will now have access to two conventions for the price of one.

Fans can also double up on the tickets themselves. Whichever ticket you’ve already purchased, you’ll get another for free. So anyone with a Platinum Pass, will get another at no additional cost. The same applies for anyone with a General Admission Pass.

The opportunity exists for a full refund, but ticket holders must notify the event organisers by email no later than June 6th 2019.

Heroes & Villains Fan Fest – Full Statement

It’s our goal to provide you with the best possible experience at Heroes & Villains Fan Fest London. However, we haven’t been able to put together the lineup that you have come to expect, with the biggest factor going up against MCM London the same weekend. After careful consideration, we believe it’s best to delay Heroes & Villains Fan Fest to February 22 & 23, 2020, the same weekend as Walker Stalker London. We’d like to stress that this will be ran as two events under one roof where fans can move from one end to the other freely, without having to purchase a second pass. As a thank you for your patience, your tickets will grant you entry into both events!

Furthermore, we’d like to offer to double your tickets, free of charge, for the February event. That means, if you have a Platinum Pass, we will give you a second Platinum Pass for free. If you have a General Admission Pass, we will give you a second General Admission Pass for free and so on.*

However, should you not want to attend in February and accept our offer of the additional free passes, we would be able to offer you a refund. We just ask for your patience in doing so.

This was a difficult decision but we know that many of you have expressed your hope for a better lineup and willingness to see it postponed if it meant a better opportunity in the future. It’s always our desire to provide attendees with the best possible experience and we believe this will allow for it.

*If you elect to keep your pass and attend in February 2020, vouchers will be refunded on Platinum and Gold passes purchased, as in 2020 we will no longer be utilizing the voucher system.
