London’s first Pokémon Centre opens this month

Gotta catch ’em all? Then you’d better catch this special pop-up Pokémon Centre opening in London this month.

To coincide with the launch of the ‘Pokémon Sword’ and ‘Pokémon Sheild’ games of Nintendo Switch, London will get it’s first ever Pokémon Centre.

Although the new games won’t be available to buy until November 15th, London’s pop-up Pokémon Centre will open it’s doors about a month before hand on October 18th through to the games’ launch.

Located in Westfield London, Shepherd’s Bush, a mall notable for it’s enormity, the pop-up will be open from 10am to 10pm Monday to Saturday and from midday to 6pm on Sundays.

Organisers are expecting fans in great numbers to flood through the doors. So much so that advance notice of potential restrictions on number of people and purchases per customer have been published.

Bearing in mind that Pokémon is a brand whose very foundation is built on having to ‘catch ’em all’, demand will be driven by exclusive merchandise that will only be on sale at the Shepherd’s Bush store. These include London themed Pikachu.

Plushy Queen’s guard Pikachu and Pikachu in a suits and bowler hats should cover some of the most common London stereotypes. Meanwhile there will be in-store gaming and cosplay competitions as well as Pokémon GO events.
