Mega Ran | Mackerel Sky Video And RNDM 12″ Double Vinyl

Mega Ran’s new video uses glitchy imagery to visualise the music industry’s attempts at keeping up with technology.

From his album RNDM which dropped last September comes a visual for the song Mackerel Sky which features RoQy TyRaiD on guest vocals.

Mega Ran‘s new visual for “Mackerel Sky” is a trippy journey through the music industry’s race to keep up with technology through an extended metaphor of the mackerel sky, a cloud formation known to represent instability within a system.”

Wikipedia – A mackerel sky is a common term for a sky with rows of cirrocumulus or altocumulus clouds displaying an undulating, rippling pattern similar in appearance to fish scales; this is caused by high altitude atmospheric waves.

RNDM-CoverMega Ran‘s most recent album RNDM is also now also available to purchase on double 12″ vinyl for $25 via Hello Merch. The vinyl printing comes in Grey and White and is limited to only 250 pressings. Each record comes with a double gatefold, four bonus tracks and a digital download code.

About Mega Ran – Before being chosen as LA Weekly’s “Rapper Most Likely To Be Big in 2014,” The Penn State graduate and self-proclaimed “TeacherRapperHero” made waves by going way left of his backpack roots by combining 8-bit video game sounds and hard hitting hip-hop tracks, and has become a trailblazer in the budding genres of chiptune and nerdcore hip-hop. Ran’s first album “The Call” was a critical success, featuring tracks with some of the underground’s most respected heads.
