Mega Ran Pays Tribute To Biggie Smalls With New Release & Video

Twenty years after the death of legendary rapper Notorious B.I.G aka Biggie Smalls, Mega Ran pays tribute.

March 9th 2017 marked the twentieth anniversary of the death of Biggie Smalls, commonly considered one of the greatest rappers of all time. Mega Ran marks the occasion by teaming up with producers DN3 and Fresh Kils for a ten track tribute release appropriately titled ‘Notorious R.A.N: Ready To Live’.

Mega Ran writes: “It’s guaranteed to start a debate anywhere you go, so I’ll just say that MY favorite rapper, line for line, bar for bar, was Biggie, The Notorious BIG. Once I realized that we were 20 years to the day that he was tragically murdered, I got to work, with my favorite producers, DJ DN3 and Fresh Kils, and re-worked several of my favorite Biggie songs into new jams.”

To accompany the track ‘Lyrically (I’m)’ there’s a great looking video directed by Odin Magana.

‘Ready To Live’ is available to stream or download for free via Bandcamp where you’ll find posters marking the occasion to purchase too.
