The Neverending Story Re-Imagined | Art

The Neverending Story, AaaaaahAaaaaaahAhhhhhh! Sorry, That will make little sense to anyone unless you’re an 80’s child! The NeverEnding Story was a novel written by Michael Ende and published in 1979. The film adaptation followed in 1984 and is fondly remembered by many.

Enter artist Nicolas Francoeur who obviously has a soft spot for the classic film. He has created these beautiful images of the many creatures and characters of the film if they had possibly been imagined today. Nicolas’s day job is as an artist at Eidos Montreal, the software house behind games such as Deus Ex: Human Revolution and the upcoming Thief reboot due for next year.

You can check out Nicolas Francoeur’s personal website for more of his work or see the complete collection of Neverending Story artwork over at his CGHub.

Thanks to Kotaku for the original story.
