Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds is living the character and drops a new poster with the tagline “Take your passion. And make it happen.”.
It’s fair to say that Ryan Reynolds is loving the resurgence of Deadpool. Reynolds first played the role of Wade Wilson aka Deadpool in ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’. But fans quickly turned on the writers and, to a lesser degree, Reynolds when the character seen on-screen bore little to no resemblance to the wise-cracking, fourth wall breaking anti-hero we know and love from Marvel Comics.
Deadpool enjoyed a much needed new lease of life when Reynolds reprised his role in 2016 for a relatively low-budget origin story directed by Tim Miller. Although R-Rated, the film was a huge success and in many ways has changed the way film studios look at presenting superhero movies for a more mature audience.
Much of Deadpool’s success can be attributed to it’s leading actor. Reynolds is in love with the character and his personality is evident both on and off-screen. Something of a champion of social media Reynolds has dropped a new poster for the, as yet untitled, Deadpool sequel and it’s all the kinds of camp you’d expect.
Deadpool 2 is scheduled to hit cinemas in the U.S. on May 18th and the U.K. on June 1st.
