This Is The Nintendo/Electro Funk Mashup You’ve Been Looking For

If nostalgia is your thing then 8-Bit Mullet has got you covered with a blend of 80s Electro-Funk and retro Nintendo video game themes.

Making it officially OK to listen to 80s electronic music, mash-up artist 8-Bit Mullet blends over 20 NES, SNES, and N64 video game themes with electro funk on his aptly titled recent release ‘Electro Funk Mega Mash‘.

Timing in at a little under 30 minutes the mash-up makes for a relaxing listening experience and for the most part flows fluidly throughout. Being neither an aficionado of either electro-funk or retro game themes there were only a couple of moments of recognition for me, the first being the Star Wars Cantina music, the second being the N.W.A track Panic Zone.

About 8-Bit Mullet – DJ 8-Bit Mullet is a mashup artist and turntablist with much love for retro video games, TV, movies, commercials, and the oxford comma. His hip-hop & electronic works are fresh spins on soundtracks you’d know and love if you were an 80’s or 90’s child.
