Pokémon Detective Pikachu – First Trailer

Ryan Reynolds voices your favourite little yellow Pokémon and he’s got a lot more to say than just “Pika, Pika!”.

Here’s our first look at the live action Pokémon movie, ‘Detective Pikachu’ featuring all your favourite characters.

Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) stars as the voice of the titular character as he teams up with Tim Goodman (Justice Smith – Jurassic World), the only human who can understand what the little yellow critter is actually saying.

Together the pair investigate the disappearance of Tim’s father and Pikachu’s former partner, private eye Harry Goodman.

‘Pokémon Detective Pikachu’ is the first ever live-action film based on the phenomenally popular fandom. And fans will have a blast spotting all their favourite Pokémon in a film that looks like a whole heap of fun.

U.K. and North American Pokémon fans will be able to see ‘Detective Pikachu’ in cinemas from May 10th 2019.

About Pokémon Detective Pikachu | When ace private eye Harry Goodman goes mysteriously missing, prompting his 21-year-old son Tim to find out what happened. Aiding in the investigation is Harry’s former Pokémon partner, Detective Pikachu: a hilariously wise-cracking, adorable super-sleuth who is a puzzlement even to himself. Finding that they are uniquely equipped to communicate with one another, Tim and Pikachu join forces on a thrilling adventure to unravel the tangled mystery. Chasing clues together through the neon-lit streets of Ryme City—a sprawling, modern metropolis where humans and Pokémon live side by side in a hyper-realistic live-action world—they encounter a diverse cast of Pokémon characters and uncover a shocking plot that could destroy this peaceful co-existence and threaten the whole Pokémon universe.
