Symbolising a final kick in the teeth, over 800 props from Marvel’s cancelled Netflix shows will go to auction.
Costumes and props from Marvel’s ‘Daredevil’, ‘Luke Cage’ and ‘Iron Fist’ are part of a huge two day auction taking place later this year. The sale of these genuine items marks a symbolic final nail in the coffin of the Netflix era of Marvel television series.
‘Iron Fist’ and ‘Luke Cage’ were the first to face the axe with news of their cancellation being announced in October 2018. Confirmation of fan favourite ‘Daredevil’ also being dropped soon followed in December 2018.
Now fans have the opportunity to own a piece of their favourite shows… at a cost. Imagine owning the first iteration of Daredevil’s red costume, as worn by actor Charlie Cox. If you have a spare $30-$50,ooo that dream could become a reality. In fact there are various costumes available to bid on from across all three shows.
Not every item will cost the same as a luxury sports car. Many smaller lots have a starting price of just $100.
The auction is taking place over two days starting on August 12th. Items will be on view at Prop Store’s facility in Los Angeles from the 1st to 13th July and at San Diego Comic-Con from 17th to the 21st July.
You can view all lots at propstore.com/marvel where you can also place absentee bids.
