Guillermo Del Toro presents a fantasy, thriller set against a cold war back-drop and a classified experiment.

Sally Hawkins stars as the mute Elisa, a modest cleaner earning a living working at a high-security laboratory. When she and a colleague happen across a top-secret experiment Elisa is moved to fight for the humanity of a strange and irresistible being, placing her and others in grave danger.

‘The Shape of Water’ looks to merge many of writer and director, Guillermo Del Toro’s, proven strengths. Fantasy, science fiction and a strong moral backbone wrapped in a whimsical, aesthetically stark thriller.

Michael Shannon, Octavia Spencer, Richard Jenkins, Michael Stuhlbarg and Doug Jones also feature.

The Shape of Water is set to debut in North America from the 8th of December whilst the U.K. waits until the 16th of February 2018. Other regions should check IMDB for release dates.
