The Boys season two trailer promises plenty more gore

The Boys are back to take down more supes with their usual abrasive style. Violence, gore and bad language guaranteed.

Season one of ‘The Boys’ closed out with a lot of unfinished business. Good news then that the popular show was renewed by Amazon for a second season which promises to provide as many gore-soaked moments as the first.

Season two finds The Boys on the run from the law. The underground group led by Billy Butcher exist with the intent of exposing superhero’s indiscretions and corruption in society by any means necessary. But how do you hurt an indestructible super-being? You have to get creative.

Meanwhile the elite team of ‘supes’, carefully marketed as The Seven, find themselves shaken. New recruit, Stormfront, is confrontational and an already vulnerable Homelander finds his leadership under scrutiny.

‘The Boys’ became a significant success for Amazon as the series proved the perfect antidote to superhero saturation on TV and in cinemas. The show reportedly attracted over six million viewers in its first ten days.

About The Boys | The Boys is an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It’s the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about “The Seven”, and their formidable Vought backing.
