Super Mario Bros turns 35 years old this September. Choosing to celebrate the milestone early, clothing retailers, Uniqlo have released a range of shirts.
First released in 1985, Super Mario has endured. More than just a video game, Mario has become a globally recognised piece of design.
To mark the 35th anniversary year of the game, Japanese clothing retailer, Uniqlo, have released a range of adult and children’s t-shirts carrying Nintendo’s iconic mascot.
Adult shirts – £12.90 | Kids Shorts – £5.90 | Kids Shirts – £7.90
Uniqlo describe the range: “Since its creation in 1985, Super Mario Bros. has been loved by many people around the world and in 2020 will celebrate its 35th anniversary. Going beyond the games, Super Mario is also popular in many different genres. Introducing this collection that features everyone’s favorite hero!“
There are eight t-shirt designs to choose from for adults with a wider range for kids. six t-shirts and four pairs of shorts provide plenty of choice for the younger Mario fans out there.
Uniqlo’s collection is the second from a major retailer that we’ve reported on in a week. Earlier we highlighted the Levi’s X Nintendo collaboration. We’d expect there to be a steady stream of team-ups as we approach Super Mario Bros’ September anniversary.
