WA Wa Punx – Danny Sucks At Video Games [Video]

Transatlantic duo, WA Wa Punx, need you to know one thing. Danny Sucks At Video Games. It’s also the title of their new single.

WA Wa Punx are Cory Jarnagin and Dylan Rippon who exist independently on opposite sides of the Atlantic Ocean. Musically they are one, a collaboration that fuses Hip-Hop and Garage Rock. The chances are you’ve heard their music even if you haven’t heard of them.

Music from their album ‘Hip-Hop Kicks’ has been used on television shows and advertisements across the globe, including ‘Made in Chelsea’, ‘Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown’ and ‘Being Human’.

Their new album, ‘Phantasia’ is due out soon. Before then they are releasing the first single, ‘Danny Sucks At Video Games’ on November 2nd. You can enjoy the song now along with a retro gaming inspired video.

The song offers up a low-fi, slacker rock feel with a mild hint of hip-hop delivery at times. The only way it could be better (in my opinion) is if they used the Konami code in the lyrics. An opportunity missed.
