HBO give us a first look at the new Watchmen television series based on the classic graphic novel written by Alan Moore.

Inspired by the seminal graphic novel from Alan Moore, show runner Damon Lindelof has been busy creating a new Watchmen series for HBO based on the DC Comics characters.

The show is expected to ‘embrace the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel‘ and ‘will also attempt to break new ground of its own‘ according the an HBO news post. The show doesn’t appear to tie-in to the 2009 feature film directed by Zack Snyder which was a predominantly faithful adaptation of the source material.

This first teaser introduces us to a Rorschach army and introduces Jeremy Irons as Ozymandias. Don Johnson of ‘Miami Vice’ fame will also feature. Music for the show is being created by Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
