WiFi Wars Is Going On Tour To Edinburgh And Beyond

WTF Is WiFi Wars? You might be asking. Read on and get your game and giggles with this live interactive show.

Steve McNeil is on a bit of roll at the moment. Not only has his acclaimed Edinburgh fringe show alongside Sam Pamphilon been adapted into a television show – Go 8-Bit – to be hosted by Dara O’Brien for the UK Television channel ‘Dave’ (Read about our visit to filming of the show), but he also recently appeared on the BBC Radio 4 show While My Guitar Gently Weeps, a look into the world of chiptune where host Isy Suttie created her own video game music inspired track to accompany a game played at WiFi Wars.

So what is WiFi Wars? I’m getting to it! WiFi Wars is a live comedy game show where the audiences play along. By logging in to the WiFi Wars network with their smartphone or tablet audience members are able to compete in a range of games, quizzes and challenges in a bid to win the show, and prizes.

Wifi Wars will be hosted by Mc Neil whilst the technology behind both this show and, in part, Go 8-Bit has been developed by tech wizard Rob Sedgebeer.

McNeil and Sedgebeer will be taking Wifi Wars on the road this July starting in London at Udderbelly (a comedy festival situated on the South Bank) on 1st July. A further four dates are scheduled in as the pair return to the Edinburgh fringe for a limited time at at the Pleasance Dome. More dates will be added soon.
